It looked exactly like this – here’s the Golden Gate Park Panhandle Bike Path back in the day:
And here’s an abandoned parade float and plastic cups that midnight recyclers didn’t seem to value. (This was the same vessel used by some white-clad sailors the previous day – the mast was like a dancing pole. See?)
And this was how things looked after volunteers helped DPW clean up – they left garbage bags for DPW to pick up later:
Sunday’s event here in 2019 will get cleaned up the same day, I’m pretty sure.
